Where to stay in Thailand - Your accommodation in Thailand

Thailand Accommodation

During your trip with us you'll stay in Thailand accommodation that reflects the character of your surroundings. You'll experience a wide variety of styles and standards of Thailand accommodation, for example you might spend a night with a mountain tribe, in a floating hotel, or in a deluxe bungalow on a tropical island.

We use a hand-picked selection of authentic hotels with lots local character, and therefore steer clear of international chains. We personally ensure that each property has the right combination of features such as cleanliness, location, friendly staff and good service. We're confident that you'll enjoy our Thailand accommodation options just as much as our previous customers.

We use a pool of Thailand accommodation in each destination, which means that if one hotel is full, we are able to offer another of equal standard. Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you comprehensive details of the hotels you'll be staying in.

Special Stay Accommodation
- Category 4

Location and comfort are the two most important factors when selecting suitable hotels for this accommodation category. Our choice of hotels in this category are priced slightly higher than our standard accommodation but it offers you something extra special.

Our special stay accommodation offers you either a unique view of your surroundings or a little something extra in terms of atmosphere or quality of facilities. We can upgrade in most of the beach resorts, including Ko Samui. Please ask one of our travel specialists for tips on where to add a special stay to your itinerary.

Comfortable Accommodation
- Category 3
- Standard for Thailand Travel Plan

A warm and inviting atmosphere, small-scale charm, cleanliness and a favourable location are our top priorities for this category and this includes most of the accommodation that we offer. A sense of privacy and some comfort are also important during travel, so we'll book a private room with an en-suite bathroom for you as well.

You can expect a mid-range bungalow or hotel/guesthouse, usually air-conditioned. Sometimes you will even find a swimming pool on the premises. The hotel during our Khao Yai trip is an example of category 3.

Simple Accommodation
- Category 2

Sometimes, when deciding where to stay in Thailand, there aren't too many options, or accommodation isn't as important as what you'll experience when you step out of your front door. Our simple accommodation category offers you modest, yet reasonably comfortable accommodation options.

You will still have your own room with private facilities even though the accommodation is more simple than some of our other options. For example, on Ko Samui you will be staying in simple accommodation with a pool that is ideally situated right on the beach! During our Khao Sok trip you will be get the chance to stay in a jungle hut located right in the middle of the jungle in beautiful surroundings.

Basic Accommodation
- Category 1

In this category you really will be going back to basics!
If you are trekking in the North of Thailand then you will be staying in a local hill tribe hut. You will be sleeping on a mattress on the floor with a mosquito net. The showers are outdoors and the bathrooms are shared. However, this gives you a real insight into the lifestyle of the hill-tribes and although basic, it really is an experience!

Another example of our basic accommodation is the first night of our Khao Sok trip where you will spend the night in a floating house on the Racha Praba Lake.
Although the accommodation is quite basic, the location is spectacular and can't be beaten.

Previous Customer Feedback

All of the accommodation was of a high standard and the air conditioned tents at the river camp were pretty cool! E Scragg

Our cottage in Koh Pha Ngan was beautiful but all hotels including service was really excellent. C Carter

All accommodation was excellent - even the floating bamboo raft houses on the lake and river and village - which was the experiences we probably enjoyed the most - although we do enjoy camping and being at one with nature generally! Hotels were very clean and comfortable which was appreciated - especially after train journeys! The service was excellent - most hospitable, helpful & friendly. P Johnson

The lake and jungle adventure was our favourite module. The floating hotel in the middle of nowhere was much better than we were expecting. F Bullock

We loved the jungle experience and staying in the bamboo huts on the river and lake. It was so different to any other holiday and I cannot imagine why any one would travel to a country like this and not experience this type of location. K Storey
The overnight stay on the Floating Raft Houses in the Khao Sok module was the most memorable for its uniqueness but generally all the hotels were excellent and the staff most helpful. I Woolsey

I liked the ethos of the company of working with Thai partners as opposed to staying in International chain hotels. C Crane

All the accommodation in Thailand was spot on. N Philpott

All hotels are very good in their own way: the Bangkok hotel was in a brilliant location in Bangkok - loved the breakfasts and the restaurant and what a treat to watch the river traffic whilst eating. The rooftop pool was also a delight and necessary after a morning of 'templing'. Phuket hotel was wonderful - so comfortable, wonderful landscaped serpentine pool, fantastic breakfast. Ko Lanta resort - lovely setting, excellent food - enjoyed the cookery class! River camp - luxury camping, beautiful natural pool, wonderful views over the river Kwai, great food. V Palmer

The resort on Ko Raya was exceptional. But all accommodations were of a good standard. R King

Our accommodation in Khao Sok had a nice atmosphere, allowing you to relax fully. The beach front resort at Ko Yao Yai was by far and away the most comfortable.
