How does this website work?

Thailand Travel Plan puts you in charge. You build your own Thailand holiday itinerary using a combination of Thailand tours or bite-sized trips. We’ve travelled far and wide in Thailand and constructed our modules from some of the most special places we visited. You can pick and choose whatever appeals most to you. Thailand has something for everyone, from adventurous trekking, to pristine national parks, to wonderful beaches. We've chosen as many small-scale hotels and family guesthouses as possible, to give you a true sense of local atmosphere and hospitality.

If you haven't been to Thailand before, or would like some ideas to get you going, then take a look at our Thailand holidays. Here, we’ve combined a number of modules into a logical order to create longer and more complete itineraries. Of course, modifications are still possible to these itineraries- a day less here, a day longer there, an extra few days on the beach etc. Once again, you're in charge of your Thailand holidays.
How to book :
1)
When you have selected the sequence of modules or the suggested itinerary that you are interested in, please submit these details along with any other comments via the quote request form or give us a quick call on 01273 322040.

2) We will then send you a detailed quotation - a Travel Plan of your holiday in Thailand.

3) Once we have got your Travel Plan just right and you are completely happy with the itinerary, please book the trip by submitting your details via the booking form or call us.

We’ve divided our Thailand modules into three categories:

Bangkok tours - Central Thailand

Most Thailand holidays begin in Bangkok, and there is a staggering amount to see and do in this lively city. You can visit the palace of the reigning Thai monarch, go temple-hopping by river-taxi to Giant Golden Buddhas, eat fantastic quality street food, shop in wonderful street markets or cycle into the quieter suburbs. Just outside Bangkok, the legendary River Kwai flows through the Kanchanaburi province. On our River Kwai rafts module you will stay overnight in traditional floating huts- a highlight of many Thailand holidays.  On the way there you'll pass the famous floating market. In the cultural Temples in Thailand tour, based in city of Ayutthaya you can take a sunset tuk-tuk tour, or search for wildlife in the Thailand National Park- Khao Sok. If you'd prefer to experience Thailand in a way that most other tourists don't, try a Thailand homestay in Korat, deep in the Thai countryside and far from the madding crowds.

Elephants, Hiking and Rafting - Northern Thailand

This is where you find the Thai mountain hill tribes and their fascinating culture. You'll arrive into Chiang Mai, Thailand's second largest city, by overnight sleeper train or by flight. From here you'll travel to mountain villages where traditional hill tribes live, elephant trekking Thailand or Chiang Mai trekking modules take you through the remote areas where you'll stay overnight with the locals hill tribes. During your hike, you'll ride majestic elephants and try your hand at bamboo rafting. You can also visit the mysterious Golden Triangle, where the mighty Mekong River forms a natural border between Laos, Thailand and Myanmar (formally Burma).

Tropical Beaches, National Parks, and Wonderful Islands - Southern Thailand

South Thailand is famous for its amazing beaches, which you can hop to and from with our tours in Thailand. Some are pleasantly developed with lively atmospheres, while others are deserted and virtually untouched. You can choose which you prefer, or try a combination of both with our island-hopping Thailand module which will take you to Ko Tao, Ko Pha Ngan, and finishes off in Ko Samui. We'll give you an indication of how each beach compares with the others, and we can advise you the best times of year to visit each island. This will enable you to enjoy warm sparkling seas and sun-kissed white beaches during your Thailand holidays.

Transport: One of the best things about Thailand is the variety of local transport available - tuk-tuks, trains, local buses, domestic flights, boat trips and, of course, the ubiquitous minibus. Alternatively, you can hire a car and take our self-drive option to discover Thailand at your own pace.

Accommodation: We've visited and selected all of the properties that we use personally, and chosen a pool of small-scale, cosy accommodation in good locations with bags of
local ambience that we use during our modules.
