Day 2 and 3: Ko Hai IslandThis morning, you can rent a snorkel at the restaurant and spend the day discovering the amazing underwater world. The islands of the Trang archipelago haven't been discovered by mass tourism yet, which means the coral here is largely intact and unspoilt. If you’ve never snorkelled before, you’ll be amazed at the spectacular marine life just below the waters around Ko Hai Island. Swimming among the brightly coloured fish in such peaceful surroundings is a really great experience. The water temperature is around 27°C. The sun is extremely bright, so make sure you use plenty of sunscreen and you might want to wear a t-shirt in the water to protect your back. |
Day 4: Ko Hai Island - departureToday, it's time to say goodbye to your little tropical paradise as you buy your ticket and board the ferry back to the pier on the mainland, where your Ko Hai Island trip ends. From here you can catch the bus or take a taxi back to Trang. Many travellers plan this module at the end of their Thailand trip, in which case can take a domestic flight, or take the overnight train (2nd class with A/C, approx £30) back to Bangkok, and depending on your flight time, catch your connecting flight back home.If you'd like a few more days of island idyll, we can always extend your stay ono Ko Hai Island. Perhaps you'd like to see more of the archipelago and visit one of the other islands. In that case we can recommend Ko Muuk, where you can stay in a simple bungalows right on a dazzling white stretch of beach. Just ask our travel specialists for more information. |
