We've broken the feedback down into sections so that the comments match our specific travel modules, as we think that this will both inspire and help you with the planning of you own trip. |
General Customer Comments• We felt that we really experienced a flavour of true Thailand that will stay with us for a long time. We saw and experienced much more than we would have if we travelled on our own. It was interesting and varied, with "breathing space" between activities, and air conditioned transport when needed. • I wanted to build the itinerary myself and direct where we went, yet have support from a company which knew the area and could book and achieve the holiday I wanted. I also wanted advice on tailoring parts of my plans where they thought it would run better, from their experience. I realised straight away that Thailand Travel Plan offered this and was convinced that this was the company to go with. • Loved the variety of experiences we were offered - every day produced a highlight but among the most memorable were the longtail boat day excursion from Ko Yao Yai, the relaxing surroundings of the Hintok river camp, swimming with tropical fish on Ko Raya. We enjoyed opportunities to witness Thai life away from tourism centres - the ferry crossing from Phuket to Yao Yai was fascinating as was the unexpected visit to a primary school on Yao Yai, included in the longtail boat excursion. Local Staff and Service in Thailand• Service provided was very good. The itinerary, hotel vouchers, rail tickets were at the first hotel when we arrived. Our scheduled transfers arrived and staff that we met were very nice. R King• When we emailed the Bangkok office with queries, they were answered promptly and efficiently. The guide on the River Kwai trip spoke good English and went out of her way to help us with our onward travel arrangements to Ayutthaya. V Palmer • The service was good. They were always there when they said they would be and got you around the place well and in a fair degree of comfort (e.g. with intelligently timed breaks) M Phelps • All our local guides and drivers were on time, spoke good English and provided an excellent and high quality service. Module FeedbackThe River and the Railway• This was varied, had historical interest, we got to see different aspects of the country and meet the local people. In addition we were travelling with some very nice and interesting people in our group of about 10, which was in many ways ideal. The experience would not have been as enjoyable if we had been part of, say, a large coach party. G Meyer • For the "touring" part of the holiday, the River Kwai floating rafts were amazing - what a location! Good food as well which made for a great one night. K Heath • We enjoyed all of it, but I think staying on the houseboat hotel on the Kwai was the highlight. • The River Kwai rafts were awesome, as is Ayutthaya. The location and the floating raft houses are something else, much more than I'd expected in a way. Jonathan S Royal Cities Your Own Way • We loved Ayutthaya. We rented a bike for the day and would definitely recommend it. It cost 70p for the day, was about 200 metres from the hotel and was just the best and cheapest way to get round to see all the temples. Chiang Mai Jungle Trekking • Loved all of it. But the Jungle Trekking probably just takes first prize. Magical experience, well organised, great guides. Fantastic! I Dicks • The jungle was authentic with the village remote and the experience of showering under a tap and staring at the stars with full moon light will never leave me. 28/10-08 • We loved every minute of our holiday, but especially enjoyed Chiang Mai and the jungle trek. We liked how the trip was set out because it meant you had free time to yourself, as well as the benefits of a guide and transport to places of interest when necessary. Giant Trees and Lakes • Khao Sok National Park module was superb. The floating huts and then jungle accommodation where absolutely fantastic as was the guide and food there. E Johnson • The overnight stay on the Floating Raft Houses in the Khao Sok module was the most memorable for its uniqueness but generally all the hotels were excellent and the staff most helpful. Island Hopping to Samui • We enjoyed all aspects of our holiday, we loved the fact we got to see a lot of different places in Thailand. We packed a lot into three weeks and loved experiencing it all. We particularly loved visiting the three different islands and wished we had planned to stay there for longer. Lauren R • It was all absolutely fantastic! But if we had to choose I think the best part was visiting the islands, specifically Ko Tao. They are beautiful and really a must for anyone heading out there.
