During this Southern Thailand tour, you'll head deep into the virgin rainforest of Khao Sok National Park, where you'll stay in a jungle cottage under the canopy of towering jungle giant trees. The module starts in Surat Thani where you'll first spend a night on a floating lakehouse. During the day, you'll take a guided trek into the jungle and a boat trip past eerie limestone rock formations and densely overgrown shores, as cheeky monkeys follow your moves from the trees above you.

Ko Raya is a brilliant destination if you're looking to escape the more popular (and busier) Phuket. On the peaceful island of Ko Raya, just 45 minutes south of Phuket, you'll find picture-perfect white beaches, coconut palms and turquoise seas with fantastic coral reefs. It's also a great place to learn to dive, so you're welcome to book an introductory dive during this Southern Thailand tour.

During this Southern Thailand tour, you'll stay in our 'Little Cabin in Paradise' on Ko Yao Yai, a small island in the Phang Nga bay. Here we've found a quiet, white sandy beach fringed by palm trees and a laid-back resort with small bungalows. On your second day you'll take a boat trip through the bay to hidden lagoons, deserted beaches and secret snorkelling bays. Ko Tao is a turtle-shaped island in the Gulf of Thailand. The waters around the island are a protected National Marine Park due to the amazing underwater world you'll find here. Many backpackers come here to get their PADI Open Water Diving Certificate, though there's plenty of excellent snorkelling too. During this Southern Thailand tour, you'll stay on a quiet beach, a short tuk-tuk ride away from the lively centre. The hotel has a diving school where you can book an introductory dive or, if you extend your stay, you can take your PADI course.

It's quite a large island so there are plenty of activities available like water theme parks, elephant camps, night markets and go-karts. You can also hire a car to venture deeper into the island in search of deserted beaches or tropical jungle trails.

Railay Beach has the atmopshere of a remote Thai island, though it's very easy to reach from Krabi. There's no road traffic here and the bay is completely encircled by giant limestone cliffs. From the beach at Krabi it's a 10 minute crossing by longtail boat to Railay where you'll be greeted by a crescent-shaped bay with a sparkling white beach. The beach is lined by dozens of little resorts and restaurants with a low-key, laid-back atmosphere. During this Southern Thailand tour, you can also book a day trip along the deserted islands in the area.

Unlike our other Southern Thailand tours, this island is located in the east of Thailand near the Cambodian border, only five hours from Bangkok. Ko Chang has beautiful beaches, dense rainforest and a couple of spectacular waterfalls. The island is reasonably well-developed with comfortable resorts, and this trip includes plenty of time to relax. It's possible to find adventure as well, with exciting excursions such waterfall hikes, elephant treks and boat trips to the tiny island of Ko Mak.
