Day 1: Welcome to Koh Phi PhiThis trip starts on Koh Phi Phi and there are many ways to get here. After a two to three hour sailing trip from either Phuket or Krabi, you'll glide past Phang-Nga Bay's majestic limestone cliffs to the tropical isle of Koh Phi Phi. The Koh Phi Phi islands - more developed Koh Phi Phi Don and the more authentic Koh Phi Phi Leh - have become a travel hotspot thanks to their idyllic white sandy beaches, incredibly clear waters and stunning lime stone cliff backdrop. You can easily spend several days enjoying Koh Phi Phi Don's island atmosphere. It's the ideal tropical getaway, so if you want to avoid the tourist throngs on Phuket, but want a little more excitement than a deserted island has to offer then Koh Phi Phi is the best of both worlds...During this Koh Phi Phi trip you'll stay at a lovely, centrally located mid-class resort; it's less than a 5 minute stroll away from the soft white sandy shore. How you spend the next few days on the island is up to you. There aren't any cars or roads around, so the best way to get around is either by boat or on foot. Whilst we were on the island we hiked up to a lookout point and enjoyed the view of the rest of the island and the Andaman Sea. Later on we hit the beach, lounged on the sand and sipped on a fresh fruit shake. In the evening we browsed and haggled at the island's many small shops, and ate a fantastic fish BBQ for dinner. |

Day 2: Maya Bay excursion - Overnight stayYou will start day two of your Koh Phi Phi trip with a tasty breakfast, or if you wake up early enough you can go for a short stroll along the beach to work up an appetite. Afterwards you'll check out of your hotel room but because you'll be returning to the same hotel you can leave your larger pieces of luggage behind at the hotel for safekeeping. Just ask the hotel's reception desk to keep them for you.For this next part of your Koh Phi Phi trip you'll only need a change of clothes, a swimsuit, a towel, bug repellent, some spare change for drinks and of course your camera. Don't forget to charge your battery or otherwise bring along a spare. Later on in the afternoon you'll meet up with other adventurers (max group size of 25) and together you'll set sail for Koh Phi Phi Leh. Several short breaks are planned during the sailing trip, including a refreshing snorkelling stop. |

You'll reach Maya Bay early in the evening, right around the time that most day trippers are leaving the island. If the bay seems familiar it might be because of its prominent role in the movie 'The Beach' starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Don't worry, even if you don't spot Leo strolling along the beach... you'll still have an unforgettable time at this idyllic island paradise. The evening is yours to spend as you wish... perhaps you may want to freshen up with a quick swim before sitting down to dinner with the rest of your group. During our Koh Phi Phi trip we met up with travellers of various nationalities and backgrounds. Someone brought along a guitar and played all night besides the camp fire. When you've had enough fun, just roll out your sleeping mat on the sand and count the stars until you drift off. If can get a little chilly during the night, so cover yourself up with a sarong or jumper. There are also tents available if you prefer to have something over your head during this Koh Phi Phi trip. |

Day 3: Return trip to Koh Phi Phi Don
If you wake up early enough, you'll see the brightest, most serene tropical sunrise ever. It'll make you forget all about your life beyond the island and have you wondering what it would be like to stay on the island forever. After breakfast, you'll have some free time for an early morning dip, exploring or sunbathing before you have to leave. You'll set sail back to Koh Phi Phi Don when the first day trippers reach the island, which can be fairly early. You'll get back to Koh Phi Phi Don around noon. We'll make reservations for you to spend one more night at the same hotel you stayed at at the start of your Koh Phi Phi trip. Of course, having your creature comforts back and a good selection of restaurants to choose from certainly softened the blow of having to return to civilisation. Day 4: Koh Phi Phi trip departureAfter breakfast your Koh Phi Phi trip will end and you'll travel onto your next destination. Can't get enough of the laidback island feeling? Want to get to know another island in Southwest Southwest Thailand? If so, we can arrange for you to take the ferry across to Koh Lanta or book our Hidden Railay Bay trip. Railay Bay is a secluded crescent-shaped bay off the coast of Krabi. |
