There are direct flights from London Heathrow to Bangkok, but the best value flights to Thailand tend to go via popular middle eastern stopovers such as the glitzy and increasingly popular Dubai or the cultural city of Abu Dhabi. But there are plenty of other airlines that fly to Bangkok, some via Europe and others via South East Asian cities such as Singapore (clean city state), Hong Kong (hustle and bustle), or Kuala Lumpur (modern Asian city).

As a lot of airlines that fly to Thailand transit somewhere along the way, there is usually the chance of turning a few hours transit into a few days stopover.
