This Bangkok adventure tour is a brilliant way to begin your Thailand trip. When you arrive in Bangkok, you'll be transferred to your hotel near the legendary Khao San Road. You'll stay in a charming hotel with a rooftop swimming pool. The following afternoon, you'll set out to see the real Bangkok on two wheels, cycling through the suburbs and along narrow paths beside the tropical green khlongs (canals). En route from Bangkok or Kanchanaburi to Chiang Mai in the north, you can make a stop at the often forgotten royal city of Ayutthaya. Dotted with hundreds of colourful chedis (temple towers) and palaces, this historic city will give you a wonderful impression of Buddhist culture and the ancient Khmer kingdom. During this Bangkok adventure tour, you'll take a sunset tuk-tuk trip for spectacular views over the ruin-strewn city.

Leave cosmopolitan chaos behind you for a taste of truly rural Thailand. During this unique Bangkok adventure tour, you'll visit a rural village buried deep within the countryside in the eastern province of Isaan. You'll stay with a family to experience some real Thai hospitality. Join your English-speaking hostess on walks through the village, visit the local temple (quite different to the golden extravagances of Bangkok), take a peek into the school classroom, and learn how the land is farmed. Maybe even indulge in a little bit of frog-hunting...

Only a few hours from Bangkok you'll find the largest National Park in Thailand, with impenetrable jungle and spectacular wildlife. During this Bangkok adventure tour, you'll go wildlife spotting in the park, perhaps bumping into a herd of elephants or a huge flock of bats. When planning your trip, don’t forget to take account of the time required to travel between our short adventure tours (modules). For example, when travelling from Bangkok to Chiang Mai you should give yourself at least one rest day in Chiang Mai before starting a new module. If a module ends on Wednesday we recommend taking Thursday off and then starting a new module on Friday. In our planning, we always take into account the best links between our various adventures. Check out our Thailand transport page for more information on how best to travel between the different mdoules, or feel free to contact us for advice- we'll be on hand to help.
The prices quoted are per person, based on two people sharing. We can also arrange transfers between places and modules, or, if you would prefer, you can choose to arrange these yourselves locally. In the cities, there will be dozens of taxis and tuk-tuks clamouring for your business, so getting from A to B shouldn't be any problem. Breakfast is also included in the quoted prices, and any other meals that may be included are stated in the daily itinerary. For overnight travel, we use comfortable second-class air-conditioned sleeper trains.
We also offer Thailand itineraries which are built from a logical combination of these modules. These might give you an idea of some possible routes for your trip.
